Don’t have a Pixel or Android One smartphone to run the Google Phone app? Well, it seems that you don’t need them anymore, at least to get the benefits of the amazing phone toolkit.
You can enroll in the beta programme of the app and install it on your phone. However, finding the app on the Google Play Store can be a tad difficult for non-Pixel phone users.
Although modded versions of the app can be found on the Internet, running it may cause it to crash. So, the best way to check if your phone is compatible with the app is to enroll in its beta program. After enrolling, you can install the app on your phone from the Play Store.
As per the reports from Android Police, the app works on devices like OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, and a few others. The report also says that all the features of the app won’t be available for all smartphone brands. For instance, the Call Screen feature through which callers can talk by choosing the available texts on the screen. This feature is limited only to Pixel users in the US.
More information about the compatibility expansion of the beta program is yet to be updated by Google.
