Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphones will be featured with Android 13-based One UI 5 beta

Samsung has launched a new android version in one of its phones. They have put Android 13-flavored One UI 5 OS in beta for Galaxy S22 smartphone.

Samsung’s Announcement

“Samsung Electronics today kicked off its One UI 5 open beta program which will initially be available on the Galaxy S22 series (Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra) in the United States, Germany and South Korea, with releases in other regions planned over the coming months. One UI 5 brings a range of new customization, security and accessibility features as part of Samsung’s ongoing commitment to delivering the latest mobile experiences to as many users as possible.”

The ability to customize your Phone

“We know our users crave the ability to create their own individual mobile experience and we’re constantly looking to improve One UI to give people greater control and more options,” says Janghyun Yoon, Executive Vice President and Head of Software Platform Team of Mobile eXperience (MX) Business, Samsung Electronics. “We’re excited to offer early access to all the new customizable features that come with One UI 5 as part of an open beta and look forward to incorporating user feedback to develop a better and more meaningful experience for everyone.”

Android 13 in foldable Phones

According to 9 TO 5 Google, “Android 12L was all about preparing “stock” Android for foldables and improving the experience on bigger screens. Now, in the first developer preview for Android 13, we’re getting a first look at the Pixel Launcher’s new ability to support multiple display layouts on one device, almost certainly for future foldables.” They added, “For some background, foldables in the style of Samsung’s Galaxy Fold series have one large display on the inside and one outer display that’s smaller and at a different aspect ratio.”

According to Engadget, “Android 13’s foldable enhancements appear designed for devices like the Fold 3 that have different sizes, resolutions and pixel densities on the inner and outer displays. Samsung already offers that feature for the Fold 3, but native Android 13 support might open up more options like enhanced productivity tools.”
