The 5G update for iPhones is part of beta update or you can say beta update has been sent for starting the 5G service in 5G enabled phones. About the beta update Economic Times said, “The beta software update will be available for all models of the iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and iPhone 14 series along with the iPhone SE (3rd Generation). The update is only available to users who have signed up for the beta programme. Users with an iCloud account on their Apple ID can sign up for the beta programme to get the update, people familiar with the matter said.
The beta software comes with a built-in Feedback Assistant app for users to provide feedback on quality and stability, helping Apple to identify and fix issues for the wider public rollout promised in December.
Users are recommended to back up their data on their iPhones before installing the beta software, with Apple recommending installing the beta software only on non-production devices that are not business critical.”

According to the Mint, “Currently, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14 series, and iPhone SE 2 will become compatible with the 5G network in India. Notably, every iPhone user cannot use 5G as of for now since Apple has released the beta update. Moreover, the update received from the Cupertino-based company is a developer beta release. This means that developers that have signed up with Apple would only be able to check out 5G for testing purposes.”
Other leading companies like Samsung has also started selling 5G phones. It will be interesting to see how 5G update for iPhones the experience of internet users. For now a 5G is knocking on the door, buyers of new phones should think twice before buying an expensive 4G phone.
