Technology Solutions

Technology is a game changer in today’s fast-paced environment. Depend on our team to help you take the guesswork out of medication management.

·   FORMULARY MANAGEMENT: The all-in-one medication management system.

Between our Automatic Therapeutic Interchange and our Clinical Services Center, we’ve got you covered! These services help you reduce medication costs, minimize waste, and save valuable time.

Our Formulary Management software takes into account the details of each resident’s medication regimen and automatically switches your medication orders to a more clinically appropriate, lower-cost drug in the same therapeutic class.

This technology is not simply exchanging brand name medication for a generic version; rather, is a collaboration between the prescriber and pharmacy for an interchange to clinically preferred medications based upon safety, cost, clinical efficiency, and administration considerations.

This automatic system of formulary management is just that – Automatic. This means a reduction in the time spent on manual formulary administration and oversight.

While a licensed pharmacist reviews each medication order and may override any interchange based upon professional judgment, a prescriber retains clinical control over each resident order and may opt-out of formulary management for individual orders or for a class of medications as desired.

Every formulary interchange is fully documented and transparent to the prescriber, nurse, and pharmacist. Whether your resident medical records are paper-based or electronic, the origins of each order can be traced.

·   EHR INTEGRATION: Optimized interface between your facility, EHR, and pharmacy

We interface with a multitude of EHR vendors, and Connexit is our certification process that optimizes the EHR to fully automate medication management. We conduct extensive interface testing on all pharmacy-related CPOE/eMAR-related clinical work. The data flow is continuous, transparent, and seamless – from initial implementation through all software updates.

How your facility, the EHR, and the pharmacy can integrate?

At Your Facility: The prescriber orders medication and the order is placed into the EHR. Your staff will have access to MyRemedi- a cloud-based pharmacy portal in a HIPAA-secure environment providing clinical and financial information.

Bi-Directional Interface: The order is electronically transmitted to the pharmacy in real-time, and order acknowledgment data is related in return to synchronize the facility eMAR.

At The Pharmacy: The pharmacist validates the order for clinical safety and appropriateness. The EHR is updated through automated transmissions.

Order Is Delivered: The facility receives daily delivery of the right medication at the right time for the resident.

Connexit assures that the data flow between your facility, the EHR, and Remedi SeniorCare will be instantaneous, continuous, and transparent.

Our team works closely with EHR vendors from implementation onward to ensure that EHR updates do not pose connectivity issues—providing you with the confidence in knowing that no information, time, or money will be lost.

·   WEB PORTAL: The real-time medication management portal.

Our proprietary web portal brings anytime/anywhere access and innovation to all of your pharmacy functions.

This portal arms you with streamlined information and tools to help you lower drug costs, improve efficiency, better manage drug-related risks, and make informed decisions in real-time.

Providing resident care facilities with a greater degree of financial, operational, and clinical simplicity so that staff can focus on residents’ needs.
