An interview with Mr. Robert Wilson, U.S. Army Veteran, CEO & President of R2C, Inc.

What was the primary driving factor that led to the inception of R2C, Inc.?

The company CEO and President, Mr. Robert Wilson, is a disabled U.S. Army veteran. He is extraordinarily passionate about supporting our American warfighters in the defense of our families, friends, community, nation, and allies. His passion developed into action when R2C came to fruition.

Through his relationships with customers, Mr. Wilson got the opportunity to truly understand the needs of the warfighters and develop a skilled workforce to meet those needs. With our constant efforts to provide excellent products and services to our customers, the idea and concept of R2C flourishes way beyond Mr. Wilson’s expectations.

What does R2C offer, and how does it stay relevant to consumer demands?

R2C’s company offerings include but are not limited to aerospace, engineering and support services, construction management and modeling and technical solutions. Over the years, consumer responses have shaped our offerings by providing an ever-evolving opportunity to support R2C’s mission to “provide the highest quality products and services to our clients to ensure our warfighters receive the most advanced, technologically superior tools to perform their mission.” Technology rapidly changes and is critical in the field. Here, at R2C, we understand that and walk alongside our customers to ensure we go above and beyond to meet this call to duty.

How would you describe the challenges that you had to go through in the initial days?

R2C developed and implemented superior engineering and logistics practices and processes to ensure high-quality products with low risk. R2C’s best value solutions are implemented seamlessly with a high degree of collaboration with our government customers. It is through those challenges in our initial days that we began to identify risks and develop solutions to overcome them. Our workforce continues to envision and create innovative approaches that increase efficiencies and optimize capabilities.

In what ways does R2C contribute to the community?

R2C contributes greatly to the community by providing mentor protégé to other aviation companies, internships to high school and college students, resources to charitable causes, and partnerships to the veteran, minority, and women serving institutions. One of our core values is service – we seek out opportunities to serve our God, nation, and communities through the different roles of our personal and professional lives. The fact is that here at R2C we are constantly in support of the community including other aviation companies.

On what ideals are your work culture and business ethics based?

Our Core Values:

  • Service – We seek out opportunities to serve our God, Nation, and Communities through the different roles of our personal and professional lives.
  • Professional Competence – We strive to keep pace with technological advances; Quality is our watchword. We are always working to improve our processes, procedures, and personnel.
  • Integrity – We act with high moral character. Adhere to the highest professional standards. Maintain the trust and confidence of all I serve and those with whom I Serve.
  • Trustworthy – We are open and honest with ourselves and those we serve and always look to do what is Good, Right, and True.
  • Can-Do Attitude – We do not just work for our customers; we work with our customers. All things can be achieved when we work together to accomplish a common goal. It is Our Attitude that determines our Altitude.
  • Loyalty – We are faithful and devoted to Our God, Nation, Family, and Mission. Remaining steadfast in our duty, support, and friendship to one another.
  • Family – We spend almost half our waking time at work. We celebrate our victories, mourn our losses, build trust and commitment with each other to form a team that focuses on supporting America’s Warfighter. This forms a strong bond that lasts a lifetime.

What do you think is the most unique aspect of your business?

The pandemic created a requirement to think outside of the box. Vendors had challenges with providing supplies timely due to the impact on their workforce and turnaround time shipping materials. The aviation industry is critical to the defense of our nation and the support of our warfighters. R2C is essential as are our employees and the jobs they do daily to support the defense of our nation. We were capable of strategic business planning and operations to continue meeting customer demands and our employees’ commitment during this crisis.

Where do you see your company a few years from now?

If we are so blessed by Our Creator to continue to support America’s Heroes, I do not doubt that R2C will continue to provide unparalleled solutions and support to America’s Warfighter around the World.
