How would you describe the market scenario in which your company is operating?
In the past, in the construction industry, concrete was the only option available on the market for a foundation system. But now, helical piles are a great and better option for all construction projects requiring a ground-anchoring foundation system. Compared to GoliathTech’s helical (screw) piles, concrete is no match when it comes to strengthening, restoring, or building a foundation.
GoliathTech’s success is rooted in a laser-focused approach to offering customers innovative products and anchoring solutions for their residential, industrial, commercial, and municipal construction projects.
Our GoliathTech helical (screw) pile system and our unique approach to identifying the best way to install helical (screw) piles depending on the type of project, soil, and environment are key reasons that we’re #1 in our industry. And with approximately 150 franchise units spread throughout the world, and expanding daily, we are redefining anchoring solutions on a global scale.
How tough was it to start? How did you manage to overcome them and move forward?
GoliathTech started in 2004 as a one-man show in a small city in Canada. After I purchased the company in 2013, the business was converted into a franchise model. We also invested in opening a new state-of-the-art factory, research & development, engineering, and product certifications.
GoliathTech has known exponential growth every year since 2013, and it has been a constant challenge to maintain a balance between rapid growth and having enough resources to keep up.
What started as a small shop in a tiny town in Canada is now a worldwide business with many awards and rankings, in a new state-of-the-art 120,000 square/ft facility.
What are the must-have attributes of an influential company?

GoliathTech holds many certifications and accreditations, but one that we are particularly proud of is our ISO 14001 certification, which is an environmental management system. Not only do we take extremely seriously to abiding by all the environmental rules and regulations, but we go above and beyond to make our manufacturing process as green as possible through our continuous improvements and environmental objectives.
How important is social media in building an influential business today?
With billions of people visiting social media platforms daily, it is important that GoliathTech be present to showcase its expertise to a targeted audience. We consistently invest in social media to maintain a strong presence.
YouTube Ads: Our goal is to be present where our competitors are advertising. We use targeted keywords, competitor website visitors, retargeting of our website visitors, and searches related to construction interests to promote GoliathTech to a highly targeted audience in our franchisees’ region. Not only does this allow us to be seen where our competitors are, but also to get in front of thousands of people in different areas.
Our website is the cornerstone for ensuring that the GoliathTech brand is reputable, that it is communicating a strong message, and that it is staying above the competition in the digital space. We are investing in content production to explain our product and brand. We are continuously working on our website to help improve search engine optimization and rank better for search terms.
Google Ads: We are investing heavily in Google Ads for all franchisees, targeting specific territories. The goal is to generate leads directly to franchisees for search terms like helical piles, screw piles, concrete forms, and other pertinent keywords, and brand searches.
Last, but not least, we have a dedicated team of highly experienced marketing experts that help plan, manage, and analyze our marketing efforts on a monthly and yearly basis. This allows us to grow and improve our performance with a strategic and methodical approach, always keeping our franchisees at the center of our marketing efforts.
To build a high-performance culture, organizations must have a strong value system with their employees based on open communication, trust, and feedback. What’s your take on this?
A solid and positive organizational culture is what makes a team from good to exceptional. It is the core of GoliathTech as a business and it is what has made possible the exponential growth of this company.
It is not for nothing that employees at GoliathTech refer to themselves as a family, it is more than the occasional after-hour drink or cocktail. Employees believe in bringing each other up and achieving the best possible professional version of themselves. Management has always been involved in every aspect of the company as well as accessible for any and all of its employees.
What role do innovation and technology play in scaling up a business?
GoliathTech has invested a lot of money and resources in research and development to make sure they offer the best product on the market. It has developed a wide range of products to offer a vast variety of options to make any project possible.
The use of concrete foundations has been the main go-to in the construction industry for as far as one can remember, but in fact, helical piles can be used to replace these concrete foundations and offer many advantages. GoliathTech has been at the forefront of education on this foundation system for everyone in the industry who don’t know what helical piles are. So, innovation and technology are the main part of this business.
What does the future look like for your company? What are you planning to do next?
If history is an indication of the future, GoliathTech is guaranteed to continue its growth. GoliathTech is currently expanding into Europe and is constantly looking at industry trends to keep innovating.
